How To Dress Down A Bridesmaid Dress?

I have a very simple, tea length, sleeveless, black bridesmaid dress that I’ve worn already. It’s that dressy silky material. What can I do to dress it down to wear to a wedding that I’m not in the wedding party? I dont want to look too dressy like I’m trying to look like I’m in the wedding party but if there’s a way I can dress it down I dont want to have to buy another dress.

add a belt preferably metallic and some bangle bracelets and simple hoop earrings and a lower heeled shoe or even ballet flats(even cuter if you can find them in the same metallic as the belt)

You could pair it with a cardigan in a casual color. Something other than black. Simple accessories, nothing too sparkly, will also make a formal dress more casual.

I would have it altered to a hemline right above the knee.

instead of heels go with flats
just do your hair simple…nothing fancy like have it down but straight
