The basics of traditional wedding invitation wording are varied from the usual rules of writing.  These special etiquette guidelines apply to punctuation, spelling, abbreviations and capitalization. 

In regards to proper wording, punctuation and capitalization for the verse on your wedding invitations, here are tips to keep in mind.

• Punctuation use within a verse is not always typical.  Periods do not appear at the end of sentences but only after title abbreviations such as Mr. and Mrs.  Commas are placed between the day and date and also the city and state. They are also allowed within sentences when necessary.

For modern marriages there are no strict rules as to who should speak at the reception.  The following folks may talk at a wedding: Father or Mum of the bride, the best man, the bridesmaid in chief, a groom, the bride, parents-in-law, and bridesmaids.  It isn’t uncommon for two of the groomsmen or a couple of the bridesmaids to speak at the same marriage. 

The majority are intimidated at the very idea of public talking.  Similarly, the majority are doubtful of the right wedding speech etiquette which compounds public speaking uneasiness.
